Jesus didn't do anything "amazing" as in dying on the cross. Lots of people back then died on "crosses" all over Rome. And (assuming) that he knew he would {rise again} in three days, or whatever, that was no biggie.

Jesus: " Oh well I'll be right back to life in no time so..what the heck, I'll do it!" Or some such non-sense. Of course I don't believe any of this stuff anyway! None of it ever happened, makes a nice story though.

No such person or God has ever appeared on the face of this earth. The universe which really came long before the very thought of God could ever appear in the mind of any creature therein itself, has been changing from one to another .Not only Jesus but also , his fahter in heaven could not save himself .In fact God whom Jesus has been calling as his father has already lost himself to Jesus and taken over by Jesus .Next it would be the turn of Jesus .The son of God has become the God and the original God is already forgotten in christendom.and could not be saved.when the fahter himself could not be saved ,how do you thinkl the person who cried out "Eli, eli, lama cabasthanani?".before he was criucified .he himself di dnot know why he was forsaken by God .do yu thibnk that anyone whomsover he might be , forsaken by god could have saved himself ? how can those who believe in Jesus disbeliev the very words of Jeus himself hat he did ot know why God forsook him?
One forsaken by /goid could never have been able to save himself .If God intended to have his son Jesus , crucified who would have beenable ro save him in defiance of the authority of God ?.Should people be raising questions of the sort here ?

Yes, He could have. Jesus could have used His God like powers and escaped. He could have had MANY angles come to His aid and fought in His behalf thus destroying any and all that wanted to harm Him. But...He didn't. He willingly permitted Himself to die on a cross to save us from sin. Out of love, Jesus died for us yet some reject Him. How much sense does that make? --None!

Yes Jesus could have save his self if he wanted, remember he is the son of the most Hight, (God) He had to die so the scriptures could be fullfil; He told his disciples that the son of man must be deliver into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. jesus came to do the will of his Father and he was a verry obedient, son he did every thing out of love for human kind , He did not had to do any thing, he was born sinless and yet for man sin he became sinful and paid the prize for our transgression and iniquities.. Jesus left his domain up in heavens and came down , in the flesh so we could have eternal life with him and the father, do you remember, in the creation what happen, when God created man, ok, God were talking to someone and He Said , Lets create man in the image, and likekiness of us and it was done , that person that God was talking to was Jesus, He was there with the father looking down, from heaven at the beautiful job his father were doing on earth, he was born with Divine Power giving to him from the father, so he could have said no, and return back to heaven where he came from . but instead, he said to this disciple once more ; These are the words which i spoke to you while i was still with you , that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the law of moses and the prophets and the psalms concerning me; thus it;'s written and thus it was necessary for the Christ to SUFFER and rise from the dead the third day. and that repentance and remission of sin s should be preached in His Name to all nations beginning at Jerusalem. ;;;;; I wish you ,wisdom and understanding in his name, Glory to be to the Father and the Son;; in the year of our Lord!!! be bless....

Yes, if he wants then he can save himself. He could not save himself becasue he wants to prove himself as a God to the world and he did lot for our world. Jesus is the true God forever.

Obviously some people can't read the Bible. Jesus was emptied of ALL HIS GODLY POWERS WHEN HE WAS BORN OF A WOMAN. That means he could not. God could have saved him. The miracles Jesus did, God did through him.

ya certainly he could have, but then there would have been no meaning in his birth. Jesus have come to save the humanity from it sins. He took the sins of the people who believed in him. I think Jesus did not believe in miracles. He taught us that suffering is also a part of life.

Yes. that's what He said that he can command a whole legion of angels...it's like you study to pass an exam. you go to the exam hall... you have to face the exam... your friends can help you copy but if you are gonna copy the purpose og your exam or your study is not gonna get fullfilled. Cross was an exam to Jesus. He can command a legion of angels to save Him but then the purpose of His coming to save us is defeated!!! He didnot save Himself just that we may be saved

Save himself from what? Death? torture? what? Jesus knew about the immortality of his divine soul and knew that it could not be harmed. Jesus had come with a mission and a message to humanity and through the tortures suffered by him and by forgiving his tormentors he had reached an epitome of humanity, he suffered for the sins of others and whosoever surrenders himself to Lord Jesus Christ the Lord will continue to absolve him of their sins. This is where his greatness lie and billions of people have faith on the great Lord Jesus Christ.

Yes. But that's not what he is about. There is a beautiful passage from Philippians 2:
5Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
6Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
7but made himself nothing,
taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
and became obedient to death—
even death on a cross!

He became obedient to death. There was a lot to lose if he didn't, but he had already accepted his task. He was faithful to what it was he was supposed to do. The scriptures told of it hundreds of years before it happened, and he made the promises of God true to the letter.
