Record? (Record as in to tape) The closest thing i found was 'Perscribo' but that's more like to write down and i need the word record like the kind where you record and listen over.
If there isn't a Latin translation to it then other words like it would be useful, thanks :)

As in English, there is more than one way to say something in Latin. The Romans did record things, they just didn't do it electronically. It's still the same basic idea.

taeniolâ imprimit (literally, he records on tape)
refert (he records an event)
perscribit (he records the responses)
mandat (use with the medium on which you are recording, this can work just like the first one that I gave.)

You must change the -t ending on the verb if you want to say a different person is doing the verb.

Enjoy.

INCIDO could be a good option. As other answerer wrote Romans didn't know the tape recorder and hence is not existing a proper word in the Latin dictionarry to translate "I record" with that meaning.
Here in Italy we're using exactly the same verb (incidere) to mean "to record into tape" and you know that many words of our language are coming from Latin.

as martox45 said incido is a good option. Maybe inscribo would fit as well.
recordor should also work - that's where I guess all comes from. recordatio as a noun means something you remember.
Don't forget the word record (as a verb and a noun) existed in English before tape recorders - recording something also means actually writing it down not to be forgotten.

The problem is, of course, that when Latin was in use, there were no tape recorders. I imagine, though, that the Vatican would have cobbled together something.
