i personally adore hounds, all kinds!!(as well as rotts). i have a 9 month old black and tan coonhound, who minds me like and 11 year old superbly trained dog! hes so smart, lovable and cuddly! i just LOVE him to tiny little pieces!
does anyone else love their hound, or any other dog as much as i love mine?

Blue is a beagle/basset hound aprox. 6 yrs old..
My very first was actually a Black Lab mixed with a basset hound.. he was an adorable puppy.. looked like a black lab at a distance.. but when you looked closer he had short legs long body and ears that were enormous.. he was great.. but he got hit by a car before he hit 9 months old.. (my brother let him out the front door)..

I never owned a hound till about 2 yrs ago. I adopted a tri-colored purebred beagle. What an amazing breed, sure they can be LOUD if you let them but I have trained mine to bark only when there is a stranger around. I love to watch him take off in the field and do his hunting or love to hear him do the good ole beagle howl. He sure nows how to brighten my day with his smiling eyes. It just cracks me up. Hounds are great.

Yes,I love hounds! I've had two beagles and a beagle cross,and I love them,they are so sweet and funny and loving! Arrooooooooo!!
