I knew of this guy who got out of prison and had 2 or 3 teardrop tattoos on his face. What do they mean?

And they were only in for 15 years, so wouldnt someone who killed get more time than that?

A tattoo of teardrops right below the eye usually means you have killed someone...depending on how many tears you have matches how many bodies you have. I have also heard that people get them when someone dies close to them. Hope this helps!

He killed someone.He would only get more time depending on what he was convicted for.Just because he has the teardrops and was in jail does not mean he was in prison for the murders he committed.Sometimes if you are in a gang they have a hard time proving that you committed the crime(no witnesses).

Its SUPPOSED to symbolize how many people that a person has killed. However, people who don't research the meaning beforehand sometimes get them to represent a loved one that's died. And then there's the people who get them just to look like badass.

yea..a teardrop means you killed someone, if someone close to you is killed then you get a tear drop thats colored in.

or youh were in a certain gang

you might want to stay away from that guy it mean that they have killed some1 !!!!!!!!!!!! each tear drop stands for a person so if they have 2 they have killed 2 people if they have like 3 they have killed 3 people !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its really not good
