Only in so far as we need the environment to live.
Most people are pragmatists, not ideologues (which is probably why most people don't live like the leaders of the green movement nor why most people will allow the lowered standard of living that some people think is required to happen).

Yes, but the car companies are slow to develop the hydrogen car which is pollution free. We have the technology but the profit margin is not there yet.

Yes, I think there is an increasing concern. And more people than ever are interested in living in a sustainable way. More people, but not all people.

most people are starting to forget about it they really stop carring about whats happening to the invironment. but later on when they see they have destroyed it they will realize the mistake they did
