I like Pierre too.
Names are tough. I usually go for a human name that's not real common, like Celia or Raoul. Kind of depends on how cutsey you want to be. Someone wrote on this forum the other day that they named their cat Redbeard the Terrible because of his color.

Well I think you should name him a classic name like socks, mittens, or whiskers. If you don't like any of these then think of something he reminds you of. Was he rescued from dying if so then try the name Phoenix, like the Phoenix bird. You could also try Smokey because of his color. Good luck.
