We just bought a new house and the water pressure is so weak! All the knobs are turned all the way up. Is there any way to adjust the water pressure otherwise? I mean its really bad! The water almost trickles out and when I wash dishes its aweful. Thanks in advance

OK more info...The house is brand new it was finished last month. It runs on city water not a well. I contacted the office and they said its like that in all the homes in the neighborhood. I think my best bet is buying the pump?

On most new homes if their on city water the line runs into the garage first , there is a pressure valve in the wall above the footing on one side of the garage door , it looks like a bell , it may coverd up if the inside of the garage is drywalled, on top of the valve is a 1/2" bolt turn right to open left to close

You don't have enough infor here: is this a well and pump system. If so, there's a gage on your pump and a small box. Open the box, there's a set of instructions on how to set the screws to give you more pressure. You should have about fifty pounds of pressure at the pipe when the pump stops pumping water. I set mine for 65 pounds but, I put all copper pipes in and built the system myself. I know it can handle it.
If it's a city system then there could be something wrong. Check to see if the city water in the front yard, under a small manhole cover, is turned on all the way. I've seen these turned on part way by men that were in a hurry.
Then go from there. You might have to call in a plumber.

Was there any work done on the water line going into your house? Some time sediment come loose in the pipes and it clogs up the airader and that prevents the water from coming out of your faucet. Remove the airader from the spout and turn the water if it comes out faster its a clogged airader replace it. If the water still comes out slow after you removed the airader check and make sure the valve after the water main coming in from the street is fully open. If a sink closet it the water main the water stills comes slow it maybe a bad valve or low city water pressure in the street.

Sounds like something got in the lines when the water was hooked up outside and is now stopping up your facuets.
Plumber check it out if I am right it will take a lot of work.
Small rocks can get into water lines or some bad employees can put them in the lines to get even with a boss.

If your house is on a well with a pump system,
the working pressure can be adjusted.
If on a municipal water system, a pressure pump
system can be installed, but you would find it expensive.
Do you have a 'hard water treatment` system???
The symptoms you describe sound like one of
those in need of service.

You could buy a booster pump. The are somewhat expensive but they basically take the incoming water and shot it through your house with more force.

a new house as in just constructed?
is the gate / ball valve to the main line open?
as if that not fully opened you get low to non existent water pressure,
are all the angle stops fully opened?
how is you shower pressure?
could it be the that pressure regulator is bad ?
