if they do belive he was just another prophet sent by God, why would such a prophet say.....Matthew 3:17. this is my beloved Son, in whom I am WELL pleased.
and for some one so well pleased by God to say.....he is the son of man....Matthew 13:41. Shows he is in control of the angels, the son of man shall send forth HIS angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity 42. And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
this man that was told by God that God is well pleased by him also says Maththew 16:16-17. thow art the Christ, the son of the living God. 17. blessed art thou, simon, for the flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but by MY FATHER which is in heaven.
so if you belive he is a prophet, you have to call him a false one, not a real one. For he calls himself the son of GOD. And he controls the angels.
What does Muhammed say about Jesus?

According to Islam, Jesus was a prophet sent by God. Christians and Jews mistranslated/deliberately changed God's word, including what Jesus said. That's why he dictated it to The Prophet.

God spoke in the holy Qur'an and Muhammad pbuh said in his hadith that Jesus was only a human who was appointed by Gos as a prophet and messenger of God.God has no son.
Jesus was only a son of Mary the daughter of Ali Imran.Jesus had no father because what God wants anything will be happened.God spoke that God saved Jesus from the killing and replaced him with another man who was like Jesus..God spoke also that God has given the news in the Torakh that after Moses will come Jesus prophet, but this verse was deleted from the Torakh because Jews did not believe it.Same thing in the Bible God had given the news that after Jesus will come the last prophet Ahmad(Muham mad pbuh),but this verse was deleted too by dirty hand from the genuine Bible..

Dear Asker,
As a Muslim, how do you think you're going to convince me on this matter with the words of your bible? Our Qur'an says otherwise - what do you think we're going to believe first, the qur'an or the bible? Ofcourse the Qur'an . Firstly, if you want to convince us truely, convince us using the Qur'an that Jesus was not a prophet, or a false one, or in fact the son of God.
If you cannot do that, then you will not convince us.
Secondly, if you want to know what our religion calls Jesus.
"And God will Say: "O Jesus son of Mary, did you tell the people to take you and your mother as gods instead of God?" He said: "Be you glorified, I cannot say what I have no right of. If I had said it then You know it, You know what is in my soul while I do not know what is in Your soul. You are the Knower of the unseen." 5:116
"He was no more than a servant whom We blessed, and We made him an example for the Children of Israel." 43:59
"O people of the Scripture, do not overstep in your system, nor say about God except the truth. Jesus the son of Mary was no more than God's messenger and the fulfillment of His word to Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in God and His messengers, and do not Say: "Trinity."... God is only one god" - 4:171
There are more but I don't want to go on forever.

Messiah means an anointed Prophet sent as a redeemer and uniter of the tribes ?
Abraham was chosen to be a Great Prophet of the Creator of the Universe.
Abraham had two sons who were both to be blessed with a Holy Covenant.
The Holy Covenant are promises from The Lord of Abraham in return for taking on the responsibility to "Make Allah/God known to the World" and establishing the “comprehensive laws of God” on the Earth.
Ishmael - first son - ISLAM
Issac - second son - JUDAISM & Christianity
JUDAISM is the covenant through Isaac.
ISLAM is the covenant through Ishmael.
The descendants of Isaac were chosen first.
A long line of Prophets and Kings descended from Isaac(pbuh) unto the Jews.
The children of Isaac were a blessing for all of mankind up until they denied Jesus.
In Islam Jesus is called the Messiah (annointed Prophet). He came from a miracle birth and performed miracles so nobody could falsely accuse him of being an imposter or a fake and then demand the death penalty on him. He was to be the last chance redeemer for the Jewish nation. If they accepted him and repented then they would be spared from a "lanat" and they would be forgiven for their rebellion and for the killing of Gods Prophets.
After that.... the Prophethood was shifted to the Ishmaelites and the message sent through the Great Ishmaelite Prophet (Mohammed) would be the last and eternal message until the day of Judgement.
The traditional title of Messiah, or "anointed one" was an honorary title of God's appointed King/Prophet of the Israelites.
Saul was a messiah, David was a Messiah, Zedekiah, the last king of Israel of the line of Judah was a Messiah
The word “Messiah” is an English rendering of the Hebrew word “Mashiach”, whose translation is “Anointed”. It usually refers to a person initiated into G-d’s service by being anointed with oil. (Having oil poured on his head. Cf. Exodus 29:7, I Kings 1:39, II Kings 9:3).
There are many Messiahs in the Bible. Since every King and High Priest/pastor was anointed with oil, each may be referred to as “an anointed one” (a Mashiach or a Messiah). For example: “G-d forbid that I [David] should stretch out my hand against the L-rd’s Messiah [Saul]...” I Samuel 26:11. Cf. II Samuel 23:1, Isaiah 45:1, Psalms 20:6.
Islam also says that those who denied Jesus was a true messenger and Prophet (Messiah) ----- will be sent a “False Messiah” near the last days as a final Punishment.
Those who join him will be on the side of EVIL and those who oppose him will be on the side of Good.
This False Messiah will rule from Jerusalem and will be the most EVIL leader to come in the history of mankind.
Below is a link to the Quranic verses where Jesus is called the Messiah :

Yes, followers of Allah or Islam do believe that Jesus was a prophet. In fact, there were many prophets who were sent by Allah to guide humanity to the right path. Muhammed (pbuh) was the last Messenger of Allah.

The Koran holds that Yeshua was a prophet, only. Some Islamic sects put forth the claim that Jesus actually escaped death by paying another to take his place.
