this is not only occuring in the Philippine Immigration control section. Wherever country does a foreigner enters to that particular country, he/she must be asked sometimes personal question just to enhance that this foreigner has of good intention in getting their country. But in general, people from the thirld world countries, poor countries must indeed land in a very risky/too personal question as you said. But if the people entering that country are from the well-developed countries, the most possible question is only: "where do you stay here and how long do you stay here?". that was what the questions being asked to us when we entered Philippines.

Technically, any question can be asked by the Immigration Officer to validate the exit or entry of a person to the Philippines if proper. However, personal questions must not be asked if already intruding into the privacy of a person or will incriminate someone for a commission of a crime.

If your fiance is a Filipino national, then I would say that the immigration officials have the right to ask those questions you stated in here. They may sound too personal or irrelevant to you but it is a way of assessing the situation whether the lady in question is in her proper frame of mind. As you may have known, when a girl/woman is in love, her mental faculties do not function very well. So, please, do not take offense because they (the immigration officials are just acting out of concern to their fellow kababayans. Have a safe trip and enjoy your holiday.

I can't speak for Philippine immigration, but every time I come to America from Europe I am asked personal questions of this nature. The first time I thought the officer was out a line and too personal (questions about my relationship, how we met, etc), but now I just expect it. The more you cooperate, the easier it will be for them to like you and get on with their job.
