In a sense, all art is spiritual to some extent.
Creativity and imagination have been given us by God and should always be directed toward the Good.
J.R.R. Tolkien had a theory about creativity that I find beautiful. Through our own creativity we participate in God's overall creative action. We become sub-creators. Here's some material on it.
Just as speech is invention about objects and ideas, so myth is invention about truth.
We have come from God (continued Tolkien), and inevitably the myths woven by us, though they contain error, will also reflect a splintered fragment of the true light, the eternal truth that is with God. Indeed, only by myth-making, only by becoming a ‘sub-creator’ and inventing stories, can Man ascribe to the state of perfection that he knew before the Fall. Our myths may be misguided, but they steer however shakily towards the true harbor, while materialistic ‘progress’ leads only to a yawning abyss and the Iron Crown of the power of evil.
In expounding this belief in the inherent truth of mythology, Tolkien had laid bare the center of his philosophy as a writer, the creed that is at the heart of The Silmarillion. [Some of these ideas are in Tolkien’s poem “Mythopoeia.”]
…he asserted in powerful terms that there is no higher function for man than the “sub-creation” of a Secondary World such as he was already making in The Lord of the Rings, and he gave expression to his hope that in one sense this story and the whole of his related mythology might be found to be “true.” “Every writer making a secondary world,” he declared, “wishes in some measure to be a real maker, or hopes that he is drawing on reality: hopes that the peculiar quality of this secondary world (if not all the details) are derived from Reality, or are flowing into it.” Indeed he went so far as to say that it was a specifically Christian venture to write such a story as he was now engaged upon. “The Christian,” he said, “may now perceive that all his bents and faculties have a purpose, which can be redeemed. So great is the bounty with which he has been treated that he may now, perhaps, fairly dare to guess that in Fantasy he may actually assist in the effoliation and multiple enrichment of creation.”
One more thought: The people of Bali (so close to Australia!) believe that we are on Earth to make the world beautiful for God. (I find this idea irresistable.)
May God bless you.

the 5th principle is the principle of the media/ government/ revelation/ passion/ urgency
R is the principle of art and rhythm.
Rhythm is original.
Art is unique.
NOoOoW.. to get to uniqueness and how it operates..
there are 3 different kinds of meditations that produce ANY kind of spirituality, artistic or not:
Male- the circle is carved up by the ellipse and its differentials summarized in bilateral symmetry
Female- the circle is pressed against the ellipse and its breaking pressure is set for 11.11 units of height threshold where ellipse itself is made into an issue
Plant- the circle is pulled inside the ellipse where the velocity is 7 times more severe than what the gravity would typically allow were the ellipse and the circle the only objects in all of outer space
Art can become unique b/c different colors represent different things-
the primary-ness of colors represents the natural-ness of its appearance in a genomic tendency that we'd find on Earth
the black/white/gray ness of the colors represents the psychology of how different localities would network themselves into a comprehension
the location of the colors blue/green/brown represent the underlying struggle that is either ultimate, disarming, or innocent and if a painting has none of these colors the task is then to compile the overall likeliness of where you'd expect to find these colors if they were to appear and really any single painting has one of these colors as an overall theme.. i think it was maybe van gogh or w/e his name is that went through a blue period or one of those artists did.

vincent van gogh said to avoid the obvious. roger crumb said something about just letting go and seeing what happens. he said it was cowardice for an artist to intentionally provoke certain feelings while creating a piece. i wouldn't go so far as to call it cowardice, but i definitely think there shouldn't be any real clear agenda. just go with the flow. be subtle. let your mood determine what your work looks like. to me, art usually seems more honest when done that way.
gekim784I- i think it was picasso who went through the ''blue period.'' could be wrong though. it's been years since i studied art. good answer, btw.

Because art is energy and the energy is Love. It is an expression of that Love that creates art. When you are full of Love you are full of ways to express that love. Art is the most natural since we were all made in the image of the creator. God created out of Love and we create out of Love. Let it flow and create as though you are creating to God.

They pour their heart into getting to know there subjects intimately before they pick up brush or pen. There is one that I have heard of and Jack B. is his name. He is also boyishly handsome, sensitive, articulate and a fine poet. Happy Birthday to him, wherever he is. He would make any Mum proud!
