1 Corinthians 13:11
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

So we can inundate you with our evil satanic ways until you surrender and start eating babies like the rest of us!
What did you expect? ;-) You're saying that Muslims, Pagans, Jews, etc. are not religious groups? Or are you just stating that atheists shouldn't be in R&S. We're here, you see, because this is an open forum to speak about religion and spirituality. Just because one doesn't believe in a god (the definition of atheism) does not mean that:
A) He/she cannot be spiritual in many other ways and especially,
B) He/she is not allowed to talk about the effects of religion and what they mean to the world at large. Not everyone on LGBT is homosexual but they are aware that our government is taking away the civil rights of a group of individuals because of the mistranslations of a centuries-old book that shouldn't affect politics or government, period. Our forefathers came here to escape from religious oppression. They would have rolled in their graves to see the restrictions people who follow the Bible have put upon the rest of the world. Some were Christian, some were deist, a few were probably atheist but they all came with the same idea in mind - to build a country in which a government could not eliminate free speech and the right to believe or not believe in God, in whatever way we choose to.
I know for one that I am here to defend that right. There are wonderful people here, of all denominations (or non-denominations, like myself). Then there are those who insist upon twisting the words of the Bible to spread their own hatred and prejudices. Anyone can interpret the text of their religion however they wish but forcing it down the throats of others in a totally self-serving manner is unacceptable. I would never ask that you become an atheist. I respect your belief. I hope you can respect my non-belief and not ask me silly questions like "How can you look at nature and not realize God created it?" I will rarely answer. Just because something is beautiful doesn't mean any single entity created it. I am here because I find the topic of religion extremely important and the topic of sprituality endlessly fascinating. This is not a "Christians-only" group, nor is it closed out to those with no religion. Discussion is all that can bridge the gap between us.

What "religious group"? I'm not "on" any "religious group".
If you're wondering why atheists visit this section in Y!A, well...
Personally I find the topics interesting and I know a bit about a few religions (as well as a few cults and about atheism), so it's actually a good thing that I'm here answering questions. If people like me, who know what they're talking about, didn't come here to answer questions, this site wouldn't function properly.

Yeah, we can tell.
You know there are other religions besides Christianity. I assume you mean atheists. I like to come here because I like having intelligent and interesting conversation, even if it's about something I don't believe in. There's nothing wrong with that, as long as no one insults one another.
P.S. not using spell check and posting a mindless question like this makes you look like a dumb broad. It only takes a second to push the button to check spelling. That says a lot about you, ya know.

LOL! So ONLY Christians believe in G-d, eh? Interesting. I'm pretty sure that there are a lot of people who would disagree with you. We just don't believe in your man-god, Jesus.
Anybody can come onto a religion board and say their opinion. It's not limited to Christianity, lady.

Wow you let an Atheist test your faith? How weak of you. If you are a true xian/believer, you shouldn't have to worry & an Atheist like myself should have no influence on you. You are suppose to love & teach, isn't that what Jesus would do? If you simply can't find the love perhaps you yourself are not a true believer. I am amazed at your arrogance to believe xians are only welcome.
BTW, many Atheist enjoy discussing religion, I find it fascinating.

This is a question that is asked many times a day. I am a Christian and it does not bother me that they are on here. They have just as much right to be on here as anyone else. If you think that they can make you believe that there is no God then you need not be on here. I say that as a help to you, not to be mean. They do nothing to me other than strengthen my faith in God. It also gives me a chance to write their names down and pray for them. Think of it this way, you may be the only one out there praying for them! God bless them too! I love all of them and you as well...God bless!

The title is Religion and Spirituality! do you think that ONLY christians have either and ONLY Christians? You need to learn to be more openminded and accepting of the fact that there ARE other Religions and other form of spirituality than JUST Christianity. Currently there are over 1,000 DIFFERENT Religions in the WORLD and equally as many forms of Spirituality as well. And MOST are represented HER in R&S. Welcome to the WIDE world of forms of worship AND of spiritual development.
Brightest Blessings,

Because your kind do the same to us. But hey were human, we like to go at war with each other, whether verbally, physically, or chemically. I mean since I'm an Atheist and your a Christian, shouldn't I be trying to convince you there's no god and you trying to convince me there is one?

Atheism is not a religion. It does not have superior beings. It does not have schools for it, it is not funded with ourageously large amounts of money. If you say everyone has a religion, and then you say "People worship themselves, don't they?". Are you calling that person a religion? How can you say it's a religion? Who do we worship? Who will kill us if we don't? There are no schools teaching atheism funded with public money? Atheism allows you to be happy with being human. Religion tells you all you have to do to be happy is die. How nice!
RELIGION HAS ALWAYS GIVEN PEOPLE A REASON TO BE UNHAPPY
