Whenever possible I use cramps as an excuse to spend the day in bed with a good book or two. When I get tired of reading, I'll watch TV and when I get tired of that, I plug in the laptop and pull up Yahoo! Answers.

When all else fails, exercise is a great remedy. If Midol doesn't work for you, try aspirin or Tylenol or any of a myriad of other OTCs.

I have horrible periods too- like you talk about. Nothing helps- and midol seemed to make it worse as well. You need to talk to a gyno because there is a good chance you have endometriosis. It is one of the biggest causes of bad periods. If they catch it quick enough- it won't do permanat damage- They do what is called a Laporoscopy- it is a 45min- hour procedure and they do a small cut at your belly button and also possibly above your pubic bone. If i were you I would go to the web site stated below and enter in your symptoms- it will help determine what you are going thru. Good Luck- I have had three Laps.- they really are nothing and you get over them in three days. But get checked out if the pain is severe.

If you can take Aleve, that might help. It helps me. Just make sure you aren't allergic to naproxen (chief ingredient). Also, try a heating pad or one of those self-heating patches that you can wear. Most importantly, go to your ob-gyn. He/she can perform an exam to make sure your bad cramps don't have some other cause like endometriosis. Your ob-gyn may also be able to prescribe pain medication for you. Good luck.

Hot water bottle. Go for a walk. Avoid caffeine. Try Motrin, it works well.

I would go stand or sit in a scolding hot shower/bath and let the water run on my stomach...when the water turned cold I would get out and sleep the rest of the day!!!

Talk to your doctor.
It could be PMDD.
Yea.....
And if it's not, it could just be abnormal pain... Which is ironically normal in teen girls.
Your doctor should be able the prescribe something for it.

Good luck!
=)
