I think there would have been some differences, although not as many as most think - Catholics have long been the strongest denomination in the US, and their great numbers in Louisiana, New York, Maryland, and Massachusets gave them a pivotal role in the cultural development in the United States.

Perhaps there would not be legalized abortion in America, if the majority of the population was Catholic.
