I have the same problem! I've found that it's best to avoid spending time alone with him. Don't single him out and give him special treatment. Be open about how you feel; if he really cares he'll understand and want you to be happy.

Tell him that you are flattered that he has a crush on you.But also let him know that you are not single---that you have a boyfriend whom you love very much. However, in a very pleasant manner, tell him that you would like to retain and remain his friend., a friendship that you enjoy and a friendship that means a lot to you.Tell him that to the extent that you have hurt him by being unable to return his feelings, you are very sorry and hope you can continue to remain good friends. How he responds or deals with the facts will go a long way in deciding what you do.good luck.

You be honest with him but don't go into details.
I'm flattered that you feel that way toward me. I don't have those types of feelings for you. I enjoy our friendship. I'm glad you told me. I know things will be a little weird for a few days but let's ignore that and keep being friends.
Something like that says that you care about how he feels but that you aren't interested in pursuing anything else. Most guys are going to be OK with this. If you two are young..... well boys are a bit more unpredictable.

Best you be up front and honest with him now. It may cause some hurt feelings, but, trust me, not half as much as if you don't let him know where he stands, and he gets the wrong impression.
