if they are gonna tear it apart that would be such a waste! :( so many people grew up with that place. i love the teacup ride and the mermaid parade!!

i love coney island! its the place where i first went on a roller coaster i think. it was a kiddie roller coaster that looked like a dragon, and in comparison to "adult/teen" roller coasters it was not fast, but i was terrified when i first went on. but then i loved it, and went a million times. i never went on the cyclone though, i dont think they're tearing it down even if they do tear down the rest of the park. but my fav ride has to be the ferris wheel, going on the swinging cars. it was so scary the first time i did it, and kinda scary the other times i did it to, but its so fun, and much more fun than just going on the regular cars, which im sure are as fine as any ferris wheel cars, but the swinging cars are what made it special.
i haven't been to coney island in awhile. i hope they dont tear it down:(

The Aquarium is great! I love that place! If they renovated and updated it, it would be much better. I've been to a few others, and that one needs a bit of a facelift.
Who can forget Nathan's??
Then, I can't ever leave there without a ride (or two....or three....do I hear four?) on the Cyclone and the Wonder Wheel.
Lucky for us, none of the places mentioned in this post are going down. Astroland will be replaced, but those two classic rides are here to stay!

My favorite memories of Coney Island were made in recent years - Going there with my teen daughter for the Siren Festival (we went to all, but missed this year).
Having a long day to listen to numerous bands, sun on the beach and a dip in the water, get some Nathans, and talk of life in general (or just about anything).

Are you kidding me? the final coney island palms down, without question is Lafayette coney Island in Downtown Detroit close to campus Martius at Lafayette and Woodward. There are no longer any menus your alternatives are: with or with out.

The Cyclone was a blast, yet without a doubt, my favorite memory is fishing off Steeple Chase pier.
