I ETS june 2008 but OCS starts March 2008. I would like to get half of my bonus from my enlistment and I also want to get a re-enlistment bonus. How do I time this if I want to re-enlist and go to OCS? how long is the process of getting the OCS packet together.

if you are accepted to OCS,you forfeit ALL bonuses you were eligible for as enlisted. If you have already been accepted to OCS and have a start date you will NOT be allowed to re enlist for any bonus money whatsoever.

If you go to OCS you most likely forfeit any bonuses you received for signing on as an enlisted member. That is the way things work in the Military. You don't get anything you "want", the Military wants from you.

It will probably take about 06 months if you have a good amount of time to put together a packet for OCS. This includes getting all your reference letters, writing your personal statement, and doing all the other paperwork which is required.

Have you spoken with your Unit's Career Counselor? He or she will have answers to all of your questions.

OCS Packets take a few weeks...allowing time for people to write letters of recommendation, etc... Your Career Counselor will have board dates for you, but you can ask your BN CDR, etc, for LORs now.

Good Luck.
