its happened to her twice before. her muscles tense up then she starts shaking, then starts to roll on her side partially, shes not able to move when its happening. they both lasted for about 2 minutes. both times my parents were not home and the clinics are closed. we are taking her to a vet asap.
so can someone help me find a way to prevent this and what it is.

If you really care about your dog you would take her to a vet.

Yes, it sounds like a seizure! She needs to see a vet ASAP. The vet will run some tests and see what is causing the seizures and give you meds that should help control them. What kind of dog? How old? I had asked because I have experience with chihuahuas with seizures. Nothing with bigger dogs. I wish you all the best with your dog. Hope she will be okay.

Yes, it sounds like your dog is having seizures. My dog just passed away about 2 months ago she had epilepsy. It seems to be a very common disease in dogs. Take your dog to the vet they should prescribe a medication called phenobarbital to control the dogs 'episodes'. But please be diligent on giving the meds, because if you miss too many your dog will continue to have seizures and may not recover from one. Thats what happened to my dog and she was only 5 years old.

Lots of dogs develop epilepsy and what you are describing sounds like the kind of seizures our Golden Retriever used to have sometimes. Just keep her comfortable and make sure she's in an area where she can't hurt herself. Seizures do pass with little consequence usually. But do follow up with your vet. Our dog took medicine every day to prevent the seizures and it worked well.

There are no longer any abode cures, and the repeated seizures will kill her. Ask your vet a pair of charge plan including CareCredit, or borrow money from friends or kin. in case you shelter the dogs, locate the thank you to pay for the sorting out and medicines.

It does sound possibly like petite mal seizures. Only your Vet can diagnose what is happening and what may be causing it. Then he will prescribe medication if he feels it is called for. Just because she has had a couple of petite mal's doesn't mean she will chronically have seizures and need medication.
Trust me, the seizures look a bit scarier than they are.

My dog had several seizures. He was a mix but that has nothing to do with seizures, anyway, when dogs awaken they have no idea what happened and may be disoriented and bite.My advice is to be across the room, while keeping an eye on her You can clean up any mess made by her later, but get her to a vet ASAP!!!!!!!!

It sounds like seizures. After the vet checks her and hopefully they can find what is causing them and correct it. But, in the meantime, they can give you some meds to help control them.
