I only had 1200 calories yesterday..but 90% of it was cereal or bread orsome other starchy product...Is that bad?

DO NOT DO THAT you have to eat protein and fats also carbs are empty calories here's a good ratio protein 40% carbs40% fat 20%

You should have roughly 65 percent carbs--whole grains, fruits, vegetables, beans-- 20 percent protein, and 15 percent fat. You really don't need tons of protein to be healthy. In fact, too much protein is unhealthy. But you also don't want to scarf down simple carbohydrates and starchy stuff either.
