I tell him just to feed her a smaller meal, healthy treats, instead of the non healthy ones he gets. AND mainly that he shouldn't give her the left overs of his dinner. He gives her fat from the meat and if he has left over food he will give it to her. Basically she has two meals.

Last night he was feeding her the fat off his meat and I couldn't watch it was making me sick thinking that she is so fat and he's adding to it.

Should I keep saying things to him (Not nagging) but just reminding him that he is reducing her life by feeding her excessively?? Or just think "it's not my dog, why bother"

Do you have any good points I can put across to him!?

i think that he shouldnt be doing that because it could hurt the dog and i think that he should take it to the vet to have it checked up or he should give it away if he dosnt want it anymore because he could cause the dog some problems too.

Ok, first of all, 7" Gladiator heels are hot lol! Hmmm 12th floor...isn't there usually a door that has to be opened to enter the stairwell of a high rise building? Because I know the dog didn't take the elevator down. So...if the stairwell door was not secured ; 1. you may be able to sue the buildings owner for causing death to your pet! 2. Then you can buy all the heels your heart desires! (and a new dog) 3. Buy your boyfriends love back i guess! 4. Is he/it worth it? You seem like an honest, sexy woman, if your bot-friend doesn't realize how much more important you are to him, then, he doesn't deserve all that sexy! If you are crying in front of him and he doesn't sympathize, say goodbye and move.

Rather than going at it adversarily ('you really shouldn't be giving your dog all that fatty food') maybe come at it like a caring thing about how you like his dog and mention to him about how you read some good ideas on how to keep a dog healthy (then have the books, mags, or websites nearby). If he does love his dog, he might read up on it. Then just leave it with him and bring it up to him after a couple of weeks if you find some more info. Guess what I'm saying is that if your boyfriend loves his pet and you can get his mind on to the dog's diet, he should eventually just do it himself without getting into a pride/arguing thing. It just may take a while.

Peace

Tell the vet that he uses what he's doing. Maybe he'll get an earful when he takes the dog in for a checkup (if he does that).

If that doesn't work, talk to a vet and ask what the consequences are of doing this, and ask what it will cost to treat an animal with diabetes, arthritis, degenerative joint disease, etc. Maybe you can hit him where it hurts - in the wallet.

well i hardly doubt the dog will die, i mean it will stop eating when its full it isnt gunna blow up or anything and he really shouldnt' always give her scraps from dinner or whatever and do keep telling him that even if it is nagging i mean it'll make her healthier so i think he can deal with bering nagged to hlep the health of his dog, it's worth it i think...but maybe try buying some healthy treats and when you're over there give one or two to her and leave them at the house so he will use them too, so she'll keep getting them. and i highly recommend not kicking him "where it hurts" because that can so some serious damaage and why would you want to "damage"your boyfriend? im sure he would appreciate you no longer resorting to that option. hope i helped!

Best thing is to talk to the vet, get the right amout of what the dog needs for the size and type of dog.

Good to see ya! I was wondering where you were! ♥

Tell him to ask his vet how much he should be feeding his dog and do say things to him. It is awful that dogs have to suffer because of people's mistakes.

Tell him that if he continues to feed his dog fatty foods he increases his dogs chance of getting pancreatitis!! Horrible condition, and can be fatal.

I think you should dig up some information about overweight dogs and show him how bad it is for them. Maybe if he reads it himself, he'll stop.

There's not many sadder sights than seeing an overweight animal.
