I think it's because people have a need to have answers to their questions. So when something goes wrong and they don't have an immediate reason for why this horrible thing happened to them when they did nothing wrong, they tend to place blame on the closest negative force available. Satan, for christians, is a everpresent negative force so he is often used as the ultimate favorite scapegoat.

This Earth would of Resembled Heaven a Whole Lot More, if Adam hadn't messed up and let satan, The Curse and Sin into it.

You CAN Blame the devils for Some Things!

Even by Christian theology, God can control who Satan tempts and his limits. In the story of Job, God gave Satan free reign to do anything to Job he pleased. Satan approached the throne of Heaven and had to ask for permission.

So even if you could blame it on Satan, you'd have to accept the fact that God gave him the ok to do it.

So really, who's fault is it?

God won't do anything to hurt us. When something goes wrong it is either our own fault(sometimes) or it's not really anybody's fault.

Satan is constantly trying to get us to do something wrong, so we'll do it again and again until we can't break the habit.

90% of the time they do
they believe their god can do no wrong, so anything bad is attributed to satan

They don't blame Satan, they blame God.

"Oh God, why did you bestow this upon me?"
"Oh God, why did you let this happen to me?"

I never hear a Christian saying:

"My teenage daughter has been raped. DAMN YOU SATAN!"

For the same reason they thank a god that grants them 0.000001 % of their wishes, but who fails to answer 99.99999 % of their prayers...

They're a crowd of delusional morons.
