Why did Napoleon effort to subdue Britain fail?

Britain has always been safe from invasion while the Royal Navy controls the sea. This was demonstrated against Napoleon by Lord Nelson at the Battles of Aboukir and Trafalgar.

Napoleon had no superior navy to invade Britain. Thus, his conquest of Europe ended in France because he was not able to cross the channel to Britain.

Well, he was too busy elsewhere in Europe.

He gave the Irish some half hearted support, which failed.

Plus Nelson destroyed his Navy at Trafalgar, so he lost his command of the seas and his ability to support an invasion across the English Channel.

Napoleon had an inferior naval force, spread his forces too thin (much like Hitler did when attempting to fight both us and Russia at the same time) and while he was emperor, he proved to not be the leader he had been when he was a general
