Is the check a fraud, Should I report this to the bank or just tear up the check?

This check is fraudulent! Do not cash it. If you do it will bounce and you will be liable for the amount withdrawn from your account. I called the number that was stated in the letter I received with my check. I was told to speak to a Jessica Foster. When I reached her I advised her I had reported the letter and check to the Nat'l Consumer League and she promptly hung up on me. I think that sums it up!

not familiar with INTERAC check. Could you scan it and provide a link to the picture? Also, tell us what the letter said that came with it, or how it got into your possession. Were you expecting this payment? Would need to know that and see the item before I could tell you if it is possibly a scam. BTW, how much is the check for???

I deposietd my check yesterday for over 3,500 and the claim agent told me to call her back when the check clears.

let me know what happens with the check, i emailed another member here who deposited a check 4 months ago, so i will let you know if i here from him.
