at what point should we start sending the workers back to india?
It seems like there are too many in the U.S.
So should we start sending them back?

We should stop bringing them in only if they are taking the jobs of qualified American workers. I know many people in the IT field who have lost their jobs due to outsourcing and from temporary workers brought in from India. This is not the only country that they are brought in from. I think it is unfair to bring in people and pay them less to do the jobs that the legal American citizens are qualified for. I know that sometimes the companies pay them less in exchange for allowing them 2 month vacations so that they can visit their countries. This is very good for them but not for American workers.

It's kind of hard to come to the US from India illegally, so I would assume most of them are legal. Besides, there is a severe shortage of workers in certain professions in the US. I don't know what point you're trying to make here, but it sounds like pure racism to me.

Any of them who are here illegally (overstaying H1B's for instance) should be sent back, of course.
Asside from that, I've worked with any number of people from India (and Bangladesh) - they generally come here legally, speak english, and are just as polite, skilled, and dedicated as any American workers I've ever met.
Why they come, I'm not sure, since we are shipping our jobs over there as fast as we can, and it's much more expensive to live here....

The immigrants most of us are complaining about are the MEXICAN ILLEGALS who sneak over into the USA.... not people from India who come over here with the proper documentation and sponsorship... I'd just be happy if all the ones who came here ILLEGALLY were sent packing....

As long as they are here legally, they should be staying. I like Indians. For the most part they follow the laws, make great neighbors, keep their property up and are achievers at work and in school.

I would suggest that 99% of them are legal- leave them alone.
