Yes New Jersey residents DO file income tax returns... and people living OUTSIDE JERSEY but WORKING in Jersey also have to file income tax returns.... the states that do NOT have income taxes are Florida, Alaska, Nevada, South Dakota, Washington, Texas and Wyoming..... In New Hampshire and Tennessee they only pay income tax on Dividend and Interset income.
