kind of like what invisible children does?..anyways what do i do to start? what are the steps that you have to take.
i was thinking that i would make a documentary video of a homeless child in ethiopia and just tell the facts..and then show it to my church and school and just raise money from there. then once i had enough money i would bring teens and adults to ethiopia to help build the shelter.
my church does these type of things for mission trips so i mean could i do this? is it too hard and complicated?
(my parents are from ethiopia so there is no language or culture barrier at all)

also:
my dad told me to do this you really wouldnt need any government permission or anything and that the governemnt wont be an issue? but i dont think he's exactley sure
is that true?

My dear, It doesn't sound like you need anyone's suggestions. You are already half way there. There was a movie called "Field of Dreams." and a famous line in it said, "If you build it, they will come." Your idea about making a documentary video seems like an excellent start for your project. Since your church already does this type of missionary work it will probably be easy for you to speak to your pastor and enlist his aid in helping you get your plans off the ground. If this is your dream to bring this about, it should not be too hard or complicated. My only advice is simply to be clear in your vision and write down on a piece of paper exactly how you see it in your mind and what you hope to accomplish Then you will be able to see clearly what needs to be done and take the steps one at a time to get there.
As far as the last part of your question regarding the Government's permission to do this, I think it would be wise to check with the Ethiopian embassy before proceeding.

Starting an organization in another country requires a form of permission - must be written to be safe. State in your request the purpose of your request and the benefit it will do to them. Don't anatagonize their government by mentioning their deplorable condition. Just tell them that you want to share yuor blessing as a global neighbor. Yes, a documentary of what's happening in Ethipia is a good way of encouraging support. Plan it well and put a lot of passion and compassion in it.
