Were going on a 7 day get-away, 10 wedding anniversary trip. Would you dress up on your wedding anniversary and have a celebration dinner, take pictures etc, even when your on a get-away trip? I was thinking of a pretty lavender dress, with hubby dressed in a pair of casual slacks with a matching lavender shirt.. He said he doesn't want to 'dress up in a monkey suit".LOL!

Doesn't matter the outfit much. You're having 7 special days, but it would still be nice on your actual anniversary to do a little something. If dressing up makes you feel happy, then go for it!

I know a couple, with whom I am very good friends with, they dress up and match all the time. So if you like to match, then go for it.

I would definitely dress up if you want to, it's your anniversary and you can celebrate it as you like!!

But also bring some casual clothes in case the weather or circumstances don't call for dressing up.

I recently went away to celebrate my anniversary and we brought clothes to get all dressed up. (I even bought a new dress.) But the weather was crappy and we had been out shopping and sightseeing all day. So when it came to evening, we decided not to go and change and just to go have a nice dinner dressed as we were.

I told my hubby he owes me a fancy dinner that I can wear that dress too!!

Have fun!!

That sounds sweet for your anniversary, my husband and I do something like that for both our wedding anniversary and the anniversary of when we started dating. It may be a get away but get away's are to make both people happy - if having a nice dinner all dressed up for your anniversary will make you happy then your husband should gladly do it and then in return you do one thing he really wants to do. For mine and my husband last anniversary (third one) we spent a week in Las Vegas (where he proposed). I wanted one night to dress up and go to a really fancy resturant because it's so out of character for me and he did it. When he wanted to dress casually but stunningly and hit the night clubs with me on his arm I gladly did that for him.
