(John 6:37) All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
AND.....
(John 10:16) And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
AND....
(2Peter 3:9) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, = = not willing that = = any should perish,= = but that all = = = should come to repentance.
AND....
(Acts 17:30-31) And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
(Acts 17:31) Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
AND..... To tie ALL.... THIS TOGETHER... WITH YOUR ... QUESTION......
(1Corinthians 3:6) I have planted,
Apollos watered;
but God
gave the increase.
These are SOME..... of the ... ' some ! '
(Matthew 22:14) For many are called, = = but few are chosen.

Of course he's not God. Have you not heard of the idea of agency? That God does things through people's actions? Paul is talking about his own actions throughout.
Besides, if he said "To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means God might save some" it sounds as if Paul's actions are forcing God's hand. Then you'd complain about that.
No, God saves who He wants to save; but from Paul's point of view, seeing primarily his own actions, it seems like he's the one doing the saving. Anybody who has led another person to Christ knows this feeling. You explain the Gospel, and the person accepts Christ - but no Christian would believe that he is actually the one who saved the person.

22To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. 23I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.
---
Paul could not save anyone, but by sharing the salvation message with those who are weak ... (just one example) then those who heard the Gospel of Christ could choose Christ and therefor be saved. It is by faith alone that we are saved, so that none can boast. no single person on earth can 'save' another... we can't pray them into heaven... we cannot pay enough to get them a 'ticket' . it is a choice... choose Christ and turn from our ways of sinful self satisfaction and follow Jesus... and we will have forgiveness and salvation.... choose to not follow, and you choose an 'alternative ending' to your life

Those whom believe in and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior are saved. So it takes you AND God to be saved- we all have the choice. And no, Paul was certainly not God. Read 2 Peter 1:20-21:
Above all, you must understand that NO prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's OWN interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

You, my friend, are confused. The bible says in John 14:6, Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. This means that in the Christian faith that Jesus saved everyone that would do what Romans 10:9 says. He did it by dying on the cross and rising from the dead three days later to overcome death and be the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. Paul is saying that he would do everything in his power to get someone to believe this. Christians like to say that they save someone when they convince that person to accept Jesus Christ. This is something I will have to take up with some people, because it can get confusing.

I am interested in knowing what you think of it. I'm still a little dismayed by it

Jesus is the Savior, sent by God the Father, who took on weak humanity (human flesh) in order to save mankind. He became our sacrificial lamb who was slain for our sakes, those of us whose names were written in the Lamb's Book of Life before the foundation of the world. The Lord knew that not all would believe and receive the gift of eternal life and that is why it says to save "some". Unfortunately Satan and his demons (fallen angels) will not be the only ones to spend eternity in Hell. Paul was merely a faithful servant of the Lord, Jesus Christ, who wrote some of the Bible as inspired by Almighty-God. The blood of Jesus paid the price in full for the salvation of many and by His stripes we are healed but we must believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths that Jesus Christ is Lord. Without belief there is no salvation - and this requires faith.

As a LDS guy, we are saved by using grace of Lord Jesus Christ in spite of everything we are able to do. If we are worth of the grace of Jesus Christ, we can saved and obtain exaltation. saved by using Grace by myself is a protestant concept and indisputable fact that places Paul's words over each thing else in the bible. The Catholics and jap Orthdox church homes formerly the protestant church homes sprang up in no way taught this. James 2 has the same authority as Ephesians 2. The Catholics and jap Othrodox church homes have confidence the custom of the church is extra substantial or authoratative than the bible by myself. So I reject the protestant's declare that grace by myself is the thank you to salvation. Do i think in grace is critical for salvation, confident. yet works is critical too.

Paul is writing about Jesus......Paul is not God he is writing the inspired word of God given by the Holy Spirit. In the beginning the Word was with God, and later came down to earth in the flesh.....Jesus........you can take any scripture out of context if you are not studying the whole.
