These are not in my book, I have looked in every Civil War chapter. The questions are:
Who is the last general to surrender to the North?
and
Where was the last shot fired of the Civil War?
If you could please help me with these, I would really appreciate it! And it would be helpful if you could supply a webpage or a source, but you don't need to.
Thanks to all who answer!!

I am not sure what book it is you have, but...

When General Robert E. Lee surrendered on April 9th, 1865 - he was not the last. When Joseph E. Johnston surrendered on April 26th, 1865 - he was not the last either. When General Edmund 'Kirby' Smith surrendered on June 2nd, 1865 - he could be considered the last general to surrender to the north, since General Joe Shelby never did surrender, but put his flag to rest on July 4th, 1965.

As for the "last shot"...on June 22, 1865, the Confederate commerce raider CSS Shenandoah, commanded by James I. Wadell, fired one round (the last shot), and obtained the surrender of the whaling ship Jerah Swift.

For all of the misfits who said Robert E Lee, have any of you actually heard of the american civil war? Lee Surrendered on April 9th 1865. Johnston Surrendered on April 26th, Stand Watie signed the official cease fire on June 23rd, and the CSS Shenendoah surrendered on November the 4th. It is difficult to say when the last shot was fired, as small skirmishes would continue even after the major armies had surrendered.

On June 23, 1865, at Fort Towson in the Choctaw Nations' area of the Oklahoma Territory, Stand Watie signed a cease-fire agreement with Union representatives, becoming the last Confederate general in the field to stand down.

Robert E. Lee. there is no way to accurately determine where and when the last shot is fired in any war, but if I had to guess I would say John Wilkes Boothe fired it at Ford,s Theater..

i don't know who the last confederate racist traitor was who surrendered.

bush has appointed two people who are confederate sympathizers. of course, one of them turned out to be better than i thought, ashcroft.

ashcroft stuck up for the Constitution on what could have been his death bed.

have you military zombies ever read the Constitution you say you are defending?
