Does any coven post their first degree test online? Please send me links.

Please give me tests, not rituals. I can handle that part, I'm just looking for points of reference so that I don't make it too hard and I include all that I need to.

Degree tests are not initiatory, they are to check knowledge base. And yes, they do.

This isn't a coven first degree test, but it is a test called "Basic Wicca Test." http://www.the-night.net/wicca/wiccatest.htm
I checked it out and it is OK for checking your basis knowledge. Blessed Be.

I doubt most covens have a written test, although I don't know for sure. More to the point, elevation is specific to each coven or, minimally, to each Tradition. That doesn't do you any good, since you aren't a part of the coven or Tradition.

If you're looking for a rough guide of what is expected knowledgewise (and the requirements generally involve more than just raw knowledge but demonstrated ability and understanding) I would suggest the book "What is your Wicca IQ?" by Laura Wildman. (I think that's the right author. I know the title is right.)

I don't imagine that any legitimate initiatory Tradition would do so. The point of such tests is that the initiate faces them AT THAT TIME without previous knowledge of what they involve.

EDITED TO ADD: Hmmm. Apparently some do, although I think it's a really bad idea.

EDITED TO ADD 2: Ah, okay, I see what you mean. And no, I don't know of any online.

I agree with Prairie Crow, I can't see any legit Wiccan Coven posting any degree test on line, it doesn't hold well with PPPP at all, if anyone can look at the info.

I can't see any person seriously seeking Wicca even looking for that, but hey, I'm a G.O.P.

What (alleged) tradition are you a part of?

The bulk of any test of knowledge in the first degree is how YOUR TRADITION varies from others.

My coven does tests but we are Eclectic Wicca that teach many traditions including Wicca, Norse, Druidism and Native American Shamanism. We have seven degrees not just five, which is untraditional I know. Each degree lasts for one year and a day. During that year and a day the classes are broken up into 12 classes, one for each month. The class lasts for 8 hours and we meet one Sunday a month. At the end of each class there is a quiz, which can be taken unlimited number of times. Every four quizzes there is a test that a person may take five times. At the end of the year there is a final to prove you know your material and can only be taken three times. The tests are multiple choice/true false, open book but must make 80 or higher to pass. We are based in Central Mississippi. If you have any questions please e-mail me at Lee_Davis_83@yahoo.com

... I'm not aware of any covens out there that makes you take some sort of test to be initiated... that's like taking the final exam of a course to be enrolled in that course.
