Every day I pray that God would use me to bless and encourage people and I ask God to use me in a mighty way.

At this time I am not working ( I am activelly seeking employment) and I dont always have the money to send cards or letters to people as I would like. I spend a lot of my time looking for jobs, cleaning my home, praying a lot for people,

But my question is even though I pray to be used by God to bless others, I am doing normal and ordinary things, How can I encourage and make a difference in peoples lives even in the every day tasks of life?

Come on! You know what to do. You know how to be kind, and act loving to people. A job just gives you more contact with other people you didn't know before. And those are opportunities to have the light inside you shine.

So you are making an effort to get a job? Good. Then get into the word and be faithful about that. There is so much to learn just by doing that. The spiritual interaction between a believer and God is ceaseless when a believer gets into the word.

People who like to talk about God and things in the Bible are blessed. Because they are constantly circulating the truth. And in that truth you will be influenced by His Spirit, and with His Spirit you are more and more the person that God wants you to be.

If those are the things you are doing, then be at peace. You are already doing what God wants you to do. There is no other thing that God wants you to do other than being a carrier of the light in the world.

Oh my, you are a pastor's dream come true, a person who is "willing" to be used by the Lord! Anything a child of God does to advance His kingdom, no matter how ordinary and small it might seem to us, brings Him glory & honor.

You ARE blessing others with your prayer life. You can also be a blessing to others when you go to the grocery store or a restaurant for example by looking for others you can speak an encouraging word to or do a kind deed for.

You are doing the right thing. Go about your everyday life, but when you run into people do nice things for them:open the door, say "God Bless You" to people who really need it after your conversation with them, Just help others like normal. God sees everything that you do in life. Do not think for one second God is ignoring your good deeds in life. Never brag about what you have done for somenone.

Just speak the word of God!!! If the people you talk to are willing to listen and not against religion, you are okay. Try slowly to convert someone you know that does not believe in God. Show them the way to be one of God's children. Good Luck!!!

Honey, you are doing way better than me!!!

I am a self-professed Christian, yet I am not achieving any of those particular 3 things you mentioned. So I don't see what you are doing as "normal" or "ordinary". To me you are inspirational and exemplary.

What you are doing now puts you on God's side. That is an achievement in itself because it is one less soul for satan. Sometimes, that is all God needs from us, for the time being. Are you familiar with this scripture:
"And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." (Micah 6:8, NIV)

Who knows what God has in mind for you? Remember, Jesus did ordinary normal things for 30 of his 33 years. Then He went out and altered the universe.

Only you know in your conscience if you can be doing more for God. Sometimes we can be praying for something but not really mean it fully in our hearts, and not realise it. If you truly want to do more, just ask God to bring it on and believe me, He will!!!

The spirit of God that is in us is the one that changes, touches, encourages and makes a difference in peoples live. There for the only thing you need to do is seek God with all your heart, with all your mind, with all your soul and follow his Word. once you have done that God will direct you and speak to you and show you where he wants you to go or what he wants you to do.

Prayer is alwayss good, but remember you must ware all the armor of God in order to be powerfully used and always stand firm in Gods path.

God luck to you, God bless you and smile for God is alway with you.

Read the book "The Five people I Met In Heaven". It may open your eyes to how much good and how you are being used by God in everyday things.

God Bless you. God ALWAYS uses willing vessels, even they may not know it at the time.

My best friend and I were just talking about this very thing. At this time perhaps God is using your home as a ministry. Do you have a husband and/or children? Homemaking in all aspects can be a glory to God. Its possible that He is using you to be a prayer warrior at this time as well. Pray that He brings you the peace in what you currently are doing. If you are following His will, you are doing exactly what He has called you to do. Great question and Gods peace to you :-)

By learning to be patient and wait on God and to be faithful in the small things it is likely that God is preparing you to be a greater encourager than you ever imagined. It is when we most realize that we can do nothing apart from Christ that we are most useful and although the head knowledge of that is easy the experience can be a tough road.
2 Corinthians 12:10
Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
