It should be done by a vet only. It is illegal for you to do it yourself. Yes I know a lot of breeders do their own but you must be new at this and you need to know you are risking a lot here. There could be infection and worse. Also I saw a boxer at the vet this last week that had NO tail because some idiot did it way wrong. I have also seen a pup die across the street because the neighbor thought she as qualified as well. Her pup got an infection and went septic in a few hours and was dead. Just take them in the to vet or call a local breeder who has more experience to come and help you. It's just not worth it.
You don't have a lot of time to waste here. This needs to be done when the pups are 3 days old or less.

Docking should NOT be done by banding. Docking should ONLY be done by a qualified veterinarian and by the time a puppy is 3 days old.

you dont say how old your puppies are but if they are over about 3 days old you have already waited too long, and banding isnt a good method anyway they need to be snipped quickly and the bleeding stopped so mama can keep them clean and cared for. after 3 days (some say 5 but my vet says no more then 3) then there is a bigger risk of infection setting in.and the bones are forming more and more every day, and every day that it is put off makes it more dangerous.

I recommend letting a vet do it. banding is never a good thing.

You can not dock their tails yourself. And bands will not do it, as there is BONE in the dogs' tails.

Vets are the only ones who can dock tails, and they do it by 3-4 days of age while the nerves and bones are not fully developed.

I never felt comfortable docking my puppies tails...I always had a vet do it.

How I've seen it done is not with bands, but using clippers (designed for this) and sulfur nitrate sticks to stop the bleeding. It was also always done when the pups were no more than 5 days old as the cartilage in their tails were soft and was not as painful to the puppies.

Dog's tails should only be docked by a professional.

No idea. But have a book on "how to neuter your dog yourself". Interested??
P.S. Unless you are in middle of Sahara, it's impossible NOT to give you "personally negative opinions"

PERSONALLY I DON'T REALLY BELIEVE IN THAT. BUT IF YOU ARE GOING TO GET IT DONE THEN GO TO YOUR VET AND HAVE IT DONE. IF YOU ARE ASKING FOR MORE ADVICE ON HOW TO DO IT THEN YOU ARE NOT 100% SURE ON HOW TO DO IT. DON'T TAKE THE CHANCE IN HURTING THE DOG JUST TO SAVE YOURSELF SOME MONEY.

I would ask the vet if they know of a place.
