what do i need to put video and sound from my hp pavilion dv9000 labtop to my hp pavilion plasma..an HDMI to HDMI?, a VGA to VGA?..what?..watevers the best choice...HELP

It all depends on what are the options for video output from your laptop. If your laptop has HDMI, sure use it. Otherwise use VGA. HP has lots of tutorials on how to connect PCs to TVs.
Go to www.hp.com/support , enter the part number of your TV and you should find all the info you want.

why go through all the hassle of finding out the right size connector, the right wattage and voltage adapter and just get a replacement. just go onto ebay and put in HP Pavilion DV9000. or you can google the charger by putting in the serial number on the underside of teh adapter. it will also have information of the voldate/wattage/amage and possibly the connector size.
