No... I mean trick or treating IS loosely based on the older celebratory traditions, so why not? I think it's better for you to go out with your friends and have a good time if you have the chance.

No, you're allowed to dress up and go trick-or-treating on Samhain. It's becoming cool again to go trick-or-treat when you're older!

If you can fit in the Samhain celebration AND the trick or treating - I don't know what the harm would be. I bet they'll both be FANTASTIC!!

Namaste!

Not at all. Halloween is a secular holiday, Samhain is the religious one.

If your community checks each person for credentials then I guess I'd worry. Most American communities do not have check points for people participating in Halloween.

Go, have fun, just do not eat all the candy in one sitting.
(One for the dentists out there: Brush your teeth after eating! lol)

Of course not; "it it hurts none..." :) She'll get to have some fun with her friends and then come home and have fun with her family - a great way to combine both worlds :) have your "candy" and eat it too so to speak ;)

No, not at all. In fact I've been hearing that it's quite "in vogue" for older people to dress up and even go door to door like they did as kids.

Go for it. I'll admit though that teens get the crappy candy at my house.I save the good stuff for the little kids. :)

It sucks that the Christians stole Halloween from you.
