Out of 800,000 kids missing annually the good news is that most of them are found. The bad news is around 250,000 are never seen again. In as little as 23 months half a million vanish forever. Where could you possibly hide 500,000 milk jugs? Children are a lot bigger than a gallon jug. That's enough flesh to fill two county landfills. I believe most kids get lost in remote areas and die of dehydration and animals eat them, slip into trenches, climb into storm drains or drown in nearby lakes and canals. And worse, they are abducted, raped and murdered. We need these chips inserted. Preferably in the buttocks or abdomen. Only the state police and parents should decide where. Regardless of expense it's definitely a good investment. Why is this still a questionable solution in 2015?

There was a very well known weather man on Florida's channel 7 news named Bill Kamal who was arrested and convicted for pedophilia. That goes to show you how serious this is. 250,000 children vanish yearly. We seem more interested in placing tracking devices on our cars rather our kids. Perhaps the chips are too painful to inject. They may lose their tracking ability over time or even cause health problems. Regardless, they still need to be redefined. They will help regardless of cost, painfully inserted and effective due to aging.

They can chip people... the only problem is, as a society based on personal freedoms, we are worried about 'Big Brother' spying on us.
So we all start chipping our kids and what if 20 years from now the government starts tracking chips randomly - like tapping phones - to see where certain people are going. Would parents be able to track their kids on a home computer to see if there are in school or at a party?
I understand where you are coming from.... I kinda like the idea - but I also dont want to have this chip inside my kid and not be able to get it out later on.

They have a device that a child wears, kind of like a watch. If a child gets out of a certain range, an alarm goes off. Some of the more advanced models can also track a child's location - kind of like Baby Lo - Jak. It's supposed to be in case you and your young child get separated and/or kidnapped, to help track him, but a teen could obviously just remove it.

For one thing, your child will not always be a child. They'll grow up eventually, and a GPS chip under their skin at that point would be a violation of their privacy. Furthermore, criminals and perverts are getting more and more advanced. Say you could track your kids all the time...couldn't a creep figure out how to track him too?

What the......
Those are your kids who you love, not some cattle that you keep track of on the farm.
give them a cellphone made for little kids. They have phones now that has 911 and 3 speed dial numbers on keys labeled 1, 2, 3 so kids can press each button to get in contact with you and it is kid friendly and durable. It is not expensive either. Go and get it. I forgot what it is called but you should look further into it. I think it is called Hugo or something. Just search for "kid phone".

Okay some of the people on here think that getting a boy circumcised is mutilation, but you want to tag children like their deers or something? Doesn't make sense to me. As a teenager, If someone wanted to "tag" me, they would have a hell of a time doing it. I'm not an animal I'm not going to be tracked like one.

I'm going against the grain here. I will respond to the EXACT question as it is asked.
I'm for it, for my CHILDREN that is. My kids mean the world to me, I can't imagine them ever being taken from me . There are alot of sicko's out there, turn on the news people. It happens everyday, and they are getting more brazen and perverted.
I would rather find my children the minute they dissapear than blather on about "my freedom" blah blah blah. What about my kids' freedom?
Seems like the pervs have more freedom to snatch innocent kids than we do to protect them.

I dont think I would want a gps there goes my freedom something we worked for, there goes my independence my parents will be tracking me consistantly.
Yea the trials and errors of life is hard extremly hard and there is no excuse for abuse or kidnaping but it happens. without how can we learn to deal? how do we become strong as acommunity to stop these things if it didnt happen? we would never learn.
