I get SSI(supplemental security income) every month and I want to get a part time job. so my question is, what is the most amount of money I can make before Social Security start deducting money from my benefits? any responses would be much appreciated.

While receiving these benefits, you can earn (gross, before taxes) about $800 per month without losing your benefits.

You will probably lose your SSI benefits completely, but not your SS. there is a ticket to work program, and a trial work period where you keep all your money for 9 months before losing it (no questions asked) that includes ssi. but after that you lose it unless you make under a certain amount. call 1-800-772-1213 for more details. There are NO legitimate work at home jobs. Do not pay for any Scam Work at Home If you start your own business then that is okay. Your SSI will be lowered when your earnings increase till the point you are independent.

ask social security...

You can also look at the IRS 1040 instruction book - there is a worksheet to determine taxability of social security benefits.... which is different from a benefit offset.

they told me if i got a part time job it cut out the ssi.you can't make any money.
