you can put any color but it determines how burunette are you if you are a dark burnette you can put a lighter brown for highlights if you are a light haired brunette what you would want to do is add some redish-brown highlights. I haven't seen a picture of you to determine the hair or your face but those two are the best choices.

So many brunettes try to go blond, but that's not always the best choice for them. The future color depends on your skin color. There are many shades of red, which you would have to bleach out to get to blond. Try some on at the store. You will want to stay away from the blue reds (burgundy), as they are more for car colors than hair colors. You might start with a color wash just a few shades lighter thn your natural color. That will give you a better idea and whether to go permanent or more radically red.

Depends on what your features are...those with dark eyes look stunning with deeper brunette in their hair (also, since it's fall, the blonde is kind of out of season).

If you have hazel eyes, you could definately do some auburn lowlights...Auburn is so fall...and looks divine if you wear a lot of crimson or browns. Also works exceptional for blue eyes.

Blonde is always a safe bet, and works really well if you have light eyes. But it can look fake, it's best to be subtle...toss in some lighter brown and a little bit of the blonde.

I'm a natural blonde with blue eyes, but I keep alternating between black, auburn, brunette, strawberry blonde and bleach blonde...I rock any color. If you do a darker color, you can definately embrace jewel tone eyeshadows and richer lipsticks (so fall!).

I have brunette too, I would go with a carmel type color, only a few shades lighter than your hair. Or on the other end of the spectrum, go a couple shades darker, low lights add dimention. Good luck!

It's hard to say only knowing your natural hair color. You'd need to upload a picture or tell us your skin tone and eye color. I had found though that most people look best in their natural hair color, or (you're brunette) brown with highlights to give it more life.

well if you have brunette hair DON'T put blonde in it...it does not look good...i'd go for golden auburn or some kind of plum colour to give it that extra boost....go to the salon and look through the hair colours that will suit your natural colour...but Blonde does not look good with dark hair...

You could add some gold or reddish highlights, but not too much. I'd pay good money to have beautiful brunette hair.
I've always had what they call "dirty blonde". Doesnt sound ver nice, does it?

I think you should keep it brunette and put in a couple blonde highlights.

You mean like highlights? I have brown hair, and I put blonde streaks through my hair, and it seems to look really good. Also, maybe some curls/waves. ^.^
