Osteoarthritis? Yes. I have had it for more than 20 years. It is an achey, painful thing; sometimes it feels as if something is gnawing on my joints. It is highly correlated to the weather; hot dry weather I feel mostly fine; cool, damp weather is the worst.
Joint stiffness and pain are the main things.
Try glucosamine/chondroitin. They work for me; medication, that is, prescribed by doctors, gave me an ulcer and caused internal bleeding as well as severe headaches.

I do. I feel lousy on account of the fact that I am merely 46..... just a boy... and I got this old man's disease chewing away at my left shoulder!

I can't sleep very well on it so I wake often. That's no good. And because it is my shoulder I am supposed to keep weight off that shoulder.. which means long periods of time in the missionary position is now a distant memory!

And I like going to gym and working out.. but now I cannot do pushups... or shoulder press... or bench press.. or any serious pec workout... and it's really crappy... working around it with physio bands etc... and it kind of hurts my head and my heart .. not just my joints! I coudl live with the pain in my joints.

Acupuncture helps the pain, btw. As do NSAID's.. I take a truck load of glucosamine.. but I dont know if that helps at all.

I have osteroarthritis and it can be very painfull. Some times I just can't get comfortable. The left side of my neck gets very uncomfortable and the right hip as well are the worst, but that isn't where it ends. I keep moving because this seems to unkink me. I also take Naprosen for the pain when it is bad. I have heard bad things about celebrex so I have stayed away from it.
