How long before a cholesterol exam can i eat?

i have a cholesterol exam tomorow and i was just wondering how long i have to leave without food in my stomache

12 hours, no food and only water, will make your cholesterol readings accurate. The best bet is to eat dinner early, and make sure that the appointment to draw blood is early in the morning. Have your breakfast and coffee after the blood is drawn.

No food after 12 midnight the nite before the exam.

Fast for 12 hours and only drink water.
