You're right! I have a joke around here somewhere about this - ah, here it is... enjoy!
Deep Thoughts for Those Who Take Life TOOO Seriously
1. Save the whales. Collect the whole set.
2. A day without sunshine is like … night.
3. Remember – half the people you know are below average.
4. He who laughs last thinks slowest.
5. Depression is merely anger without enthusiasm.
6. Support bacteria! They’re the only culture some people have.
7. A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory.
8. How many of you believe in telekinesis? If so, raise my hand.
9. Ok… so what is the speed of DARK?
10. When everything is coming your way… you’re in the wrong lane.
11. What happens if you get scared half to death twice?
12. Inside every older person is a younger person wondering… what happened? (boy, isn't THAT the truth)
13. Just remember – if the world didn’t suck… we would all fall off!
14. Light travels faster than sound. That’s why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

Such a great Q.
One of the ways to lighten up is to view a caricature of the days activities speeded up in black and white old movie format. Myself as star!! Now I make a cup of tea, drive the car, chat to my friends..even the serious business of the day looks much lighter..
It is all too serious to be taken seriously..
Peace and Love

I haven't but I know alot of people who have. For some reason they think that being religious excludes humor. I feel sorry for them :(

I think humor is sadly used as an excuse. It's all too often used as an excuse for having no respect for others.

Yes, we have lost our "sense of humor." It is regrettable and sad. What is good about waking up each day is that we experience "life," "laughter" and "love." These (3) attributes make up a marvelous combination for all of us. Peace, Love and God Bless.

Good point. My bird laughs at me, so why should I take myself seriously?

in R&S that statement is made alot by atheists and anti-christians that *****,mock and call names.Today so many people want to be rude and crude to others and claim it is "funny".Having fun and laughing is good.Mocking others and asking why they don't lighten up is not.
