Yes I do think it's funny that there is always a disclaimor. Once saved always saved except that if you leave well then you weren't saved at all....ooooook

Well damn, I'm saved too then. I was "saved" at age 9 in a Southern Baptist Church I used to attend with my aunt and uncle.
Amazing how quickly they turn that around... "Oh but it wasn't Real" Now how the hell does anyone know whether or not what you went through was real? When they got saved, did God start gossipping about other people to them? Or did he bless them with some form of ESP? What a load of ****. They can not possibly wonder why people want no part of their two-faced, contradictory religion. If they do wonder, they need to get out more and see what kind of BS they really are spreading.

I am not a saved CJ. Only CJ's preach the true Gospel.
Catholics are not saved CJs.
I thought I was saved. Alas, now I cannot drink poison, or allow venomous snakes to bite me. What will I do now? I will pray to the JPG of CJ's avatar, and use a chain braided from CJ's hair to count my meaningless, repetitious prayers as the Pagans do.

Here is CJ's proof scripture from I John 5:
13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. 14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.
Comment: Sounds promising--we can know if we are in God's grace, that we have passed from death into life. But CJ's thesis is disproved in the succeeding verses:
16 If anyone sees his brother commit a sin that does not lead to death, he should pray and God will give him life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that he should pray about that. 17 All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death.
There is a sin that destroys life with God--a mortal sin. Thus, there is no "guarantee."
Sorry, CJ. You've misread the disciple. Now read the Master:
Matthew 10:22: And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.
Matthew 24:13: But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
Mark 13:13: And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
Luke 21:16-18: You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death. 17All men will hate you because of me. But not a hair of your head will perish. By standing firm you will gain life.
Cheers,
Bruce

Once saved, always saved is a lie. It is a daily battle against Satan and the world, in order to maintain. You must die daily to your own will, in order to do the will of the Father.
Here are the words of Christ in the book of Revelation, "Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
"Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white; for they are worthy.
"He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before the father, and before His angels." Revelation 3:3-5.
If CJ wants to debate this point despite the words of Christ, so be it. It would be a fool's folly.
So, you are far from fine. Repent, for His judgement cometh, and that right soon.
Once saved, always saved is a Calvinist lie, and false doctrine. It is a dangerous lie. A lie that could cause those that want to believe it to "believe a lie and be damned."

There is no "once saved always saved "in the bible. That is a false teaching. God will never take the gift of salvation from us, but we can walk away from it and reject it. The "OSAS" people believe they can continue in sin and that they are saved. WRONG! If one continues to sin after accepting Christ as their Savior they still need to seek forgiveness and repent. All who endure til the end will be saved. Just saying a so called "sinners prayer" and accepting Jesus does not save anyone if they continue in sin with out seeking forgiveness. When one accepts Christ only the sins of the past and present time are forgiven.
: "As the Bible says, I am already saved (Rom. 8:24, Eph. 2:5–8), but I’m also being saved (1 Cor. 1:8, 2 Cor. 2:15, Phil. 2:12), and I have the hope that I will be saved (Rom. 5:9–10, 1 Cor. 3:12–15). Like the apostle Paul I am working out my salvation in fear and trembling (Phil. 2:12), with hopeful confidence in the promises of Christ (Rom. 5:2, 2 Tim. 2:11–13)."

You can lose your salvation. We are told we must persevere in our faith. If we turn away from God after we first accept him we will lose our salvation.
1 Timothy 4:15-16
Hebrews 10:36
James 1:12
Once saved always save is a theological concept that has been around for less than a century. According to this flawed doctrine as long as you truly believe in Christ and have accepted him as your saviour, you can commit any sin and still be saved. You could accept Christ and then go on a murder spree ending in your suicide and still be saved. Its a ridiculous concept, even we humans view that idea as unjust and God is infinitely more just than us, proving the doctrine to be wrong.

Don't you love that little line that CJ mentioned --- if you leave the faith, you were never "saved" in the first place. That's a great little disclaimer to keep anyone from having to answer the question, "If God exists and is so active in the lives of believers, why does anyone choose to leave Christianity?"

I'm still looking around for things to be saved from... but it's not a frenzied search. Whatever is claimed to be true in the Bible is generally false anyhow - I pay it no mind.
