I would read it!

Seriously though, I'm sure you have tons of stories. Plus, I like the way you explain things. You could write from an insider's perspective. It wouldn't have to be a tell-all book, because I'm sure there are secrets-of-the-trade that must be kept, but it would still be very interesting.

MIKE - "LITY"---sorry, I guess I missed that memo. :P
~*LITY*~ (LOL.) With how many collaborations you've done/ will do, I suppose you've already written a book, haha. But even your answer there... You just have a whimsical tone to your writing that makes you sound like a hockey sage or something. LOL. (Okay, I admit, adjective fail me sometimes...) Hmm, I think all the appeal and luster of those stories is lost on you now that you've been through it all---to someone like me, it's like striking gold. It's good to see that you're extremely willing to help others out though. :)

Not for me Erica. I am helping out others though

I'm helping another of our contributers write a book on the NHL draft (cyrenaica), that is how we were introduced

I'm helping a man from Ohio write a book on scouting.

And I'm helping a hockey historian in New Jersey with information for a documentary.

I really haven't told all that many stories either. I have tons of stories of sitting in cold empty rinks across Canada and the Western United States scouting (insert favourite junior player from 1966 to 1990 here) while drinking coffee with other scouts and complaining about our wives. Damn, I just told them all!

Stan Fischler wrote a book 40 years ago about Stan Mikita, that would tell you a lot about my early life in hockey as some of the stories are similar. Several people have wrote stories about life at training camp, some even scored a goal or two...I never did score a goal.....or an assist....or even a shot on goal. Spent a lot of time on my keester though!

A lot of the information I share on here is common knowledge if you know where to find it (old copies of the Hockey News, newspapers, etc), was there at the time, etc. I'm careful not to spill the good stuff (Bettman signs my check after all).

C'mon LITY, be a pal, write us a book. Not the tech stuff either, we want dirt. Photographic evidence too, the more graphic the photos the better.
I can see it all now, LITY on Letterman, plagerized by Hustler, kids smuggling it into the bathroom. Need an agent?
It'll make our book look like a technical manual. Wait a minute, our book is a technical manual.

I think the man should without a doubt. His knowledge needs to be put into writing. He is THE most knowledgeable hockey person I have ever met

We're all calling him "LITY" now, it's easier. But yeah, he should write a book, he's very knowledgeable, lol.

So do people have to go disinfect their hands after being introduced to Bettman? I would think someone that slimy would leave a fair bit of residue on your hand.

I'll buy it. And I promise I won't sell it on eBay once I'm done. lol

LITY, do you know Kevin Shea from HHOF? I used to be one of his students and I've been trying to get a hold of him through e-mail at the HHOF domain. What's he doing now?
