There is this girl I've known for 2 and half years and I don't know why, but she doesn't talk to me that much. You use to talk to me a lot, but she has been acting wierd. I'm a intelligent and not a cocky guy. We're both in 9th grade. I think she might like another guy and I have been getting heartaches on what to do. I feel like I should either quit our friendship or ask her out. I don't know what to do? What should I do? Please Help!!!! Thank you for people who respond to this question.

The problem is that I'm a shy guy around her and I don't have a high amount of confidence. Also, I have sometimes very low self-esteem.

I can understand the confusion you currently feel with respect to your friend of 21/2 years. It can be frustrating when someone we consider a friend suddenly without warning act in a non-friendly manner. However, before you take the ultimate step and end your friendship, I would advise you to try and talk to her one more time. Find out---if you can---why she has changed, what you are supposed to have done( if anything),if she still wants to remain friends with you.Even if she likes another guy or does not like you as a boyfriend,it does not mean she can treat you bad. I know you indicated you are shy and lack self esteem, but I want you to believe that you are as good as anybody else, that you don't have to be as smart or as beautiful or as athletic as the most popular guy to be as good as they are. Remember, everybody have their own special quality and talent and so do you.Don't allow anyone to tell you different and do not doubt your self as well. Good luck.

Well its high school, and when you enter into a bigger school you meet all sorts of people from all other schools. She's probably having fun meeting all these new people since you guys are freshmen's AKA 9th grade. Just talk to her when you get the chance our when you see her pass by or something say HI! Thats the most important thing is for you to make the first move because thats what guys are intended to do first lol Don't worry about it though because i bet she didn't forget about you and talk to her on MSN or AIM. then when you think the time is right and you feel like she likes you the way you like her then ask her out lol

i think that u need to think about this really hard and which ever one that u feel u should do .... do it! personally, if i were in her situation i would want u to ask me out because every girl likes outgoing guys. but if u dont think ur up to it, just try to keep ur friendship alive

I have had a similar situation when a girl who was my friend liked another guy, but I stayed her friend, and things have been giong pretty well.

you have to find a girl you know thats friends with her to find out for you all the info you need then youl just go from there

but dont be like ":do u want to go out sometime?", be like "do u want to go out for coffee?"
9th grade girls LOVVVE going out for cofffee, i should know, im one! :)
