I will take her to the vet. I have heard that female cats mark their territory by peeing just a drop. I just a got male kitten and I have two litter boxes and Lucy goes right behind him and does this. I thought it was weird because she is fixed. I guess it's a kidney problem. Thanks guys.

I would recomend taking your cat to the vet. There are two reasonable explanations I can think of.
1. It may be a Urinary Tract Infection, which burns and hurts when your cat pees, so it can't get it all out.
2. It could have kidney stones, which may block the urethra, which is the tube the urine comes out of.
Either way, it's treatable, and it needs a doctor.

Usually blockages do not happen in female cats but it can happen. If this is the case the cat will usually be squatting even outside of the litter box looking like she constantly is going to the bathroom but nothing is coming out. No matter what you need to take her to the vet. It is obviously something to do with the urinary tract so it could be something simple that antibiotics will take care of or she might even need a catheter. Check and see if there is any blood in the urine or if she is eating and drinking. If there is blood and she is not eating that is not a good sign.

Even females can get urinary blockages. The longer they're blocked, the more damage is done to the bladder. Letting it go 24 hours can sometimes kill a cat. 48 hours certainly will.

Take this seriously, if the kidneys shut down you have much higher vet bills, it's harder to get the cat healthy, and they loose a portion of their kidney function for the rest of their life.

Get your cat to the vet immediately. If she has a blockage, she will be dead in 24 hours. This is an emergency situation.
