No, but they are strong influences on the mind. They tempt us with different things to sin by throwing those things in front of us so our mind is controlled by those thoughts. They can bring people around to influence us to sin because many people are possessed and heavily influenced by demons. There are grades of demonic influence or ranks of command and some demons are more influential than others with greater powers with Satan being the highest ranking evil. Fallen angels are very intelligent and have been around since creation so they know the ways of mankind and have had years of experience tempting man. They taught man the evils of warfare and violence in the very beginning and for that reason God destroyed the first world by the flood and saved only Noah and family. I promise you one thing and that is INCREASED SIN is an all out invitation to evil. As sin increases in any nation so will the demonic influence increase on that nation until it destroys the nation. When the leaders are evil, the nation suffers greatly.

The Bible gives us no reason to believe Satan and his demons can read our minds. To me, that would take a measure of omnipresence and omniscience, which they do not have. However, Satan and his demons have been observing and tempting human beings for thousands of years. Surely they have learned a few things about us over the years. Even without the ability to know our thoughts, they can probably make a well-educated guess as to what we are thinking – and then attempt to use it to their advantage. That is why we are commanded to “Submit yourselves, then, to God” (James 4:7a), before we are told to “Resist the devil” (James 4:7b).

Satan cannot read our minds because only God is omniscient. However, I think Satan and demons can tempt us and encourage bad thoughts. I personally believe that there is a continual spiritual battle being fought even though we can't see it. I would never worship an angel nor would I pray to an angel, but I believe that angels do protect believers from evil.

No- absolutely not. However, he has had thousands of yrs of observing man - he is the one who sends all those thoughts to us, that are opposite of God's word - what we do with them - and how we react to them, shows him how he can use us - as the Scripture say- the devil is a liar, he comes to rob, kill and destroy. We are to cast down every vain thought out of our minds.....if we get a thought of taking something from the store that we didn't pay for, and then do it, we reacted to what the devil hinted to us to do. Now over a long period of time, if our actions follow all of the suggestions the devil gives us, it sure could appear that he is reading your mind, but in reality, he is just following the pattern already observed.

Questions From Readers
Does Satan the Devil have the ability to read the human mind?
Although we cannot be dogmatic, it would appear that neither Satan nor his demons have the ability to read our thoughts.
Consider the descriptive names ascribed to Satan. He is called Satan (Resister), Devil (Slanderer), Serpent (synonymous with Deceiver), Tempter, and Liar. (Job 1:6; Matthew 4:3; John 8:44; 2 Corinthians 11:3; Revelation 12:9) None of these descriptive names imply that Satan has the ability to read minds.
By way of contrast, however, Jehovah God is described as “the examiner of hearts.” (Proverbs 17:3; 1 Samuel 16:7; 1 Chronicles 29:17) “There is not a creation that is not manifest to his [Jehovah’s] sight,” declares Hebrews 4:13, “but all things are naked and openly exposed to the eyes of him with whom we have an accounting.” Not surprisingly, Jehovah has granted the ability to examine hearts to his Son, Jesus. The resurrected Jesus declared: “I am he who searches the kidneys and hearts, and I will give to you individually according to your deeds.”—Revelation 2:23.
The Bible does not say that Satan is able to search men’s hearts and minds. This is significant, inasmuch as the apostle Paul assures us that Christians “are not ignorant of [Satan’s] designs.” (2 Corinthians 2:11) So we need not fear that Satan has some extraordinary ability of which we are entirely unaware.
Nevertheless, this is not to say that our Adversary cannot discern our weaknesses and vulnerabilities. Satan has had centuries to study human behavior. He does not need to be able to read minds to discern what patterns of behavior we set, to observe what entertainment we pursue, or to listen to what things we talk about, and so forth. Our facial expressions and posture may also give clues as to what we are thinking or feeling.
By and large, though, Satan uses the same devices that he used in the garden of Eden—lies, deception, and misinformation. (Genesis 3:1-5) While Christians need not fear that Satan will read their minds, they do have reason to be concerned about what thoughts Satan might try to put into their minds. He wants Christians to become “corrupted in mind and despoiled of the truth.” (1 Timothy 6:5) Little wonder that Satan’s world has unleashed a flood of corrupting information and entertainment. To withstand this onslaught, Christians must protect their minds by wearing “the helmet of salvation.” (Ephesians 6:17) They do this by filling their minds with Bible truths and avoiding unnecessary contact with the unsavory elements of Satan’s world.
Satan is a formidable foe. But we need not have a morbid fear of him or his demons. James 4:7 assures us: “Oppose the Devil, and he will flee from you.” If we follow this counsel, we will be able to declare, like Jesus, that Satan has no hold on us.—John 14:30.

No he can not read our minds. Satan is the master observer though and he watches our reactions to things.
He has been observing us from the beginning since Adam and Eve and he knows our weaknesses.

In Ephesions 6:12 it tells us "we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." I believe the only power these evil forces have are on the "words" we speak which are hurtful and do not bring Christ glory. I believe they are there waiting like vultures to pouce on anything a Christian says that is not edifying to another.
I know you've had conversations with people, maybe a spouse for example, and you said something that the other person took wrong? In other words, what they repeated back to you wasn't at all what you said. When we speak words to one another it travels through the air to the other person's ears, and if the words we speak are not glorifying to Christ, then the demons twist them to mean something else before the words reach the other persons ears. This is why I feel it is so very important that we guard whatever communication comes out of our mouth. This is the only control I believe the evil forces have, and that is on what is spoken.
I heard a pastor say one time that before we speak anything, we should take a few minutes to check in with the Holy Spirit to get His approval on the words, kind of like checking into a motel before you go to your room. And, if the words you are about to speak do not meet with His approval, don't speak them. God bless you!

There is no biblical evidence that the devil can read our minds. Knowing our thoughts is only attributed to God, never anyone else.
Satan can tell you things and then he watches your actions and reactions, he listens to what you say and uses that against you, but he can not read your mind.

Only Jehovah God has the power to read minds: therefore His Son ,Jesus, may -if that power is given Him by His heavenly father.
Jehovah is the only true God : creator of all living things
Satan and his demons don not have the ability to read our minds. they do not have that power. sad to say, though, they do have the power to tempt us to do things that are disrespectful and/or disobedient to God. it is up to the individual to not succumb to the temptation.
