Perilous Times - by: The Apostle Paul: 2 Timothy 3
2Tim. 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall
come.
Don’t be naive. There are difficult times ahead. As the end
approaches, people are going to be self-absorbed,
money-hungry, self-promoting, stuck-up, profane, contemptuous of
parents, crude, coarse, dog-eat-dog, unbending,
slanderers, impulsively wild, savage, cynical, treacherous, ruthless,
bloated windbags, addicted to lust, and allergic
to God. They’ll make a show of religion, but behind the scenes
they’re animals. Stay clear of these people. These are
the kind of people who smooth-talk themselves into the homes of
unstable and needy women and take advantage of
them; women who, depressed by their sinfulness, take up with every new
religious fad that calls itself “truth.” They get
exploited every time and never really learn. These men are like those
old Egyptian frauds Jannes and Jambres, who
challenged Moses. They were rejects from the faith, twisted in their
thinking, defying truth itself. But nothing will come
of these latest impostors. Everyone will see through them, just as
people saw through that Egyptian hoax.

You’ve been a good apprentice to me, a part of my teaching, my manner
of life, direction, faith, steadiness, love, patience, troubles, sufferings—suffering along with me in all the grief I had to put up with in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. And you also well know that God rescued me! Anyone who wants to live all out for Christ is in for a lot of trouble; there’s no getting around it. Unscrupulous con men will continue to exploit the faith.
They’re as deceived as the people they lead astray. As long as they are out there, things can only get worse. But don’t let it faze you. Stick with what you learned and believed, sure of the integrity of your teachers why, you took in the sacred
Scriptures with your mother’s milk! There’s nothing like the written Word of God for showing you the way to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion,
correcting our mistakes, training us
to live God’s way. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us.
Suggested Reading: 2 Tim 4 in it's entirety!

Yes they are. The signs of the last day are all over and around us every day, be it in african, china, canada, or america. Doesnt matter. PIck up a newspaper if you can take it, it will make you sick, turn on the news. Look around your neighborhood. Ever see so many angry, selfish messed up ppl, so full of self/? arrogant, prideful, violent, loves of self, crude, slanderers, murders, liairs, theives, ppl with waxing cold hearts, no respect to others, including parents and elderly.... Yes read it in scripture and we are here folks. These are the last days, and for those that will not say no to Sin and then Run to Jesus, they are gonna soon be in some awful trouble. but, remember God doesnt send anyone to hell. Its a choice a person makes by refusing Jesus. Open rebellion. When we wont serve Jesus, we are serving the devil, whether we know ir or not, or even believes there is a devil or not.
Look at all the false religion todays, all preducted. No more Biblical truths and absolutes. Killing unborn babies is ok, men today, MANY NOT ALL< prefer other men and women prefering women, ppl needing sex with children and anything else that wiggles, even with dead ppl.
If these arent the last days , what could one say about them? But, it will get a lot worse before Jesus comes to rapture HIS ppl home, the ones that lOVE AND OBEY.
ALl are called and only a few will answer.
God will show us all,but still He forces noone to choose for HIm. All choice. But we must choose for Jesus and stop sining before Jesus comes again or we die, whichever comes first. Those who do that go home in rapture, and will not go on to suffer the great tribulation. of the plagues, etc. But we are seeing a tip of the darkness right now. Do you want to go home with Jesus soon, or do you want to wait tillafter the great tribulation is over and then choose????? Choose soon and wisely, as Jesus is coming soon. All the Bible signs and prophcies are all around us, the more flooding, earthquakes, all of it.
There is a devil that runs false religion and those folks want anyone dead that will not believe as they do. Open you eyes ppl, with eyes that see thru the eyes of The Holy Spirit. DOnt stay in denail any longer, as we dont have long yet. HEar with ears that hear only God. Ask for it. pray for it, it will come, if you ask Jesus into your heart and begin to obey all you know to obey as you search for even more Bible truths.
May God become real to all who read these words. Thats my prayer. I confess it, claim it as a promise already given. So watch out folks, its coming....... but you still get to choose.

You are right. Compare with Matthew Chapters 24 and 25; 2 Peter 3: 3,4; Revelation 6:1-8.
The good news is that these perilous times are a sign that relief is close at hand! (Psalms 37:29, 34; Prov 2:21, 22; Rev 21:3,4)

Rightly said. Man has become a slave and victim to his own desires. This is the end result of sin. Death from a pleasure principle based suicidal tendency.
But there's more to this equation..."Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils."

No. On the account of St. Paul words: " boast that Christ is Lord."
All the works of Christ follower is according to the works of Jesus Christ. They are consumed by the Spirit of Truth that Christ sets.
If they are going to judge them by our means and examples what is the purpose of Jesus Christ to be the light of the world. Seek the greatest Christ teaching. It so easy to judge. Love God above all and love your neighbor as you love yourself ( love your enemy and pray for them). We became animals because of selfishness ( food or prey).

I certainly hope so! Because if it's not now, then that means things are only going to continue to get worse. Right now it's about as bad as I can take, and I wish Jesus would just hurry up and come already.

Strawman he was predicting what the world would be like in the end times. Do you watch the news? Mothers are killing their own children, fathers are molesting their children, children are murdering their parents, sexual deviants are prolific, etc., etc. Wake up to the reality of this world and the Bible is your best source of truth believe it or not.

The perilous times spoken of by the apostle Paul were the times in which he lived. Paul thought that Jesus would be returning in his lifetime.
It is a very human belief. Bear in mind that everything we know about the world exists only in our consciousness. We are each aware that we will die, and that when that happens, all that we know of the world will die with our consciousness. We tend to project that knowledge outward and reach the stunning conclusion that the world will end with us, in each generation. Paul was only being human.
