It's okay, but can be painful if you push yourself and the first time might leave you sore. You certainly will notice an improvement in your flexibility.

I used to, and I miss it. When my daughter gets older, I plan on taking it up again. The physical strength and flexibilty was incredible, but mentally it was also great. There is a yoga class in my city that caters to mothers and babies. When my daughter gets older, I might sign up for a few classes. (At $12 a class, it the few classes are just barely feasible.) I taught myself yoga with the Oxygen show, "Inhale". There are also yoga shows on FitTv (another cable network, part of the Discovery networks), but I've not really seen them.
Also, the library probably has some good yoga videos, but I've not been able to go to mine. (It's a five minute walk, a simple trip without a newborn, but I don't like leaving her alone yet for long periods of time, not even with my husband, as I'm nursing.) Also, there are probably some good results if you search "yoga", like the About page, Yoga Journal (my local library carries that magazine), and a couple of others.

I have been doing yoga for about a year now and love it. I take classes at my college, it is less expensive than private lessons, and I feel so much better.
It relaxes you, increases flexibility and self-awareness.
Look for different varieties, for example I take power yoga to get more of a workout.
Just be mindful to not compare yourself to other people in class, it inhibits where you can take your practices.

I always feel great after I do yoga, and an instructor is probably THE best way to go.
It helps everything in your body and mind work and communicate better, as well as making you more self aware. Which is fun. ^^
