2 Corinthians 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.

Foremost, I turn to my God, Jehovah, through the office of his sweet, wonderful son, Christ Jesus. I reflect on the way his spirit is actually being used on my behalf, on behalf of the worldwide brotherhood of Jehovah's people, and on behalf of those who do not love or respect him, too. I remember scriptures that have touched my heart, like in Psalms, where Jehovah said through the inspiration of poet David that He would never despise a heart broken and crushed; that man can never know the pain in the heart of me, but Jehovah does know, and cares, and no one can interfere with that; and I turn to Revelation 21:3,4, especially the scripture part that reads"the former things have passed away." I try to remember that everyone has had their trials and tribulations for a long, long time...that Jehovah sees and is hurt by what mankind and myself, individually, must endure until the "time of the end"... and that these things must occur "for a little while", but there is an end to it, and it is soon!!!
Thanks for this question, Jason !

My sense of comfort comes from the ONE who understands me better than I understand myself....Jehovah God is who I lean on at all times, and especially in times of distress.

Also the Bible is a great source of comfort too, because there is always some passage that relates to a particular problem that we might be facing. It's comforting to know that what we're experiencing is not unique, but that someone else has faced it and successfully dealt with it.

The Only Father I have.
Jehovah.

He has given me,
His written word, along w/
my spiritual brothers & sisters.
There is Nothing
nor anyone on this entire planet
that knows me like He does.
Nor has the ability to comfort me, like He does.
No1 has the wisdom, Jehovah has.
We can & do strive imitate the love we are shown,
through Christ, tho' we still fall short.

I turn to my Lord and Savior for comfort. Because He will never leave me or forsake me. Besides it is the times when I need Him that He carries me and I know that HE is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
