I have watches with battery and I have to change the battery every year.( the price of battery is the same with the price of a new watch!)
In past I used to have mechanical watches( with a small wheel) that were longer.

There was a time when fine mechanical watches were a costly investment. Then with the advent of cheap electronic watches, mechanical watches became cheap also. Now there's a revival of fine costly mechanical watches for people who still love those things. Check names like Breitling, Patek Phillippe, Tag Heuer. They even SOUND costly.

A typical watch battery lasts 3 years, if not more.
Avoid buying watches with 'light'.

There are mechanical watches. Rolex is one brand. But there are also much less expensive brands. Citizen has mechanical watches as well.

There are! The reason they are not populer is becuase

1. It's Annoying to have to wind your watch
2. They can break if over wound
3. They are very expensive!
