The mere thought of getting out should keep your motivated. I know it is hard if the job and people are awful, but you won't have to face them for long I hope. Good luck!

I have been in this situation; I feel your angst. The best I can say is keep your chin up, keep working toward leaving and use that as your motivation. You have an out. I know it may seem extremely difficult, but just think of it as keeping a secret and how surprised people will be. That's what got me through when I switched jobs in May.

Let the misery of your present job be the fuel and motivation for trying harder to seek a more satisfying, and enjoyable place to work.

If you really want to do that well when you are leaving already, think to yourself what would happen if you are unable to find another job and had to stay at this one, and how that would make you look if you slacked off that much.

Man, if you already know you're going to leave, then do *just* enough to get by without someone calling you on it. Save your energy for your next job!

Just feel smug in the knowledge that you will soon be gone, the time will just fly by and your colleagues will hate seeing that smug grin on your face every day! Refuse all overtime.

Just go through the motions and play rock music in your head all day (play it over and over on a stereo so it gets stuck in there).
