We tried a new recipe and it was delicious! I love when new recipes turn out great! We had this with buttered brussel sprouts and homemade cole slaw.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, cut in half
2 tablespoons butter
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of celery soup
1 can chicken broth
1 onion, finely diced
2 (10 ounce) packages refrigerated biscuit dough, torn into pieces
1 tsp dried parsley
1/2 tsp poultry seasoning
several shakes of salt and pepper
Place the chicken, butter, soups, onion & seasoning in a slow cooker.
Cover, and cook for 5 to 6 hours on High.
About an hour before serving, place the torn biscuit dough in the slow cooker. Cook until the dough is no longer raw in the center.

I put 2 small pork shoulder roasts in the crock pot this morning. They marinated over night in garlic, Worcestershire sauce, cilantro, & louisiana creole seasoning. When I get home I will make some gravy and rice to go with it. some corn on the cob and dinner rolls.
I will have rum & coke for my promotion celebration after dinner!

We're having corned beef brisket, instant mashed potatoes with garlic, and bacon gravy, and a spinach salad with feta and balsamic vinaigrette. I'm thinking about making curried rice but that may be too much.

Nothing fancy. Fresh spinach salad with an assortment of dressings - already prepared. Veal Parmesan with pasta.
The usual adult beverages: Crown Royal on the Rocks.
The Goddess is having a Canadian Club Manhattan.
Fresh fruit with Cool Whip.
Later we'll have a bag of popcorn - probably with our Scrabble game or our 500 Rummy game or maybe Backgammon.
Its easier for us to "play it by ear", than really plan anything extravagant.
Recipes? Everything is pretty self-explained, isn't it?
Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed taking the time to answer it!
